Replacing a medical dashboard with contextual surfaces

An adaptive workspace that interprets roles, events, and clinical priorities to surface what deserves attention next.

A conceptual clinical workspace with prioritised panels and colourful status indicators.

The original dashboard gave every role the same flat view of a very different day. It was full of useful information, but almost none of it had a point of view.

We reframed the product around contextual surfaces: focused workspaces that respond to the person using them, the event unfolding, and the decision in front of them.

The abstraction

The durable model was not a new navigation structure. It was a prioritisation layer: a way to make the right operational signal visible at the right time without asking people to hunt for it.

That idea became a product direction, an interaction model, and a working prototype the team could use to align clinical, product, and technical stakeholders.

What we made

The result is an interface that feels less like a place to check and more like a place to decide.
